Couples Therapy in Leawood, Kansas
Space to slow down, understand each other, and reconnect.
Tending to your relationship
Even in loving relationships, it's easy to get caught in the same conversations that never quite resolve. One partner pulls away while the other reaches harder. Life's big changes — a new baby, a move, a career shift, a loss — can quietly pull you in different directions until you feel more like roommates than partners.
Couples therapy offers a calm, supportive space to slow down and get curious about what's happening between you. Together, we work to understand each partner's needs, gently shift patterns that no longer serve you, and create new ways of communicating and connecting. You don't have to be in crisis to begin — many couples come to us simply for relationship maintenance.
Who we work with
Couples therapy may be supportive if you are:
Finding it hard to communicate without conflict or shutting down
Feeling distant or disconnected from one another
Navigating a major life transition, such as becoming parents, blending families, or relocating
Rebuilding trust after a hurt
Feeling the strain of work, caregiving, or parenting
Preparing for marriage or a new chapter together
Wanting to keep your relationship strong through ordinary seasons, too
What to expect
Our first session is a time to get to know you both — your story, what's working, and what you hope might feel different. From there, we explore the patterns that keep you stuck and practice healthier ways to listen, repair, and support each other.
Our approach is collaborative and balanced. We don't take sides; we hold space for both of you and for the relationship you're building together.
